Apple is having a hard time. The company, which has seen iPhone sales slow, could now also face 10% tariffs on its finished products made in China. The Trump administration said yesterday it was considering a 10% tariff on iPhones and laptops, while it also looks increasingly likely that tariffs on $200bn-worth of goods will rise to 25% from 10% in January. Trump appears to think an additional 10% on iPhones will not deter demand: “I mean, I can make it 10% and people could stand that very easily.”
