Lufthansa’s new structure will feature 150 fewer management jobs, after an overall reshuffle that will save it some €500m a year. Cargo will continue to be run as a separate operation, but the group’s four hub airlines, including Austrian, Brussels and Swiss, will be grouped together under the eye of Harry Hohmeister, formerly CEO of Swiss. Former cargo boss Karl Ulrich Garnadt, CEO of Lufthansa’s passenger division, will now head the Eurowings lower-cost division, an important focus for the company. Lufthansa as an airline will no longer have its own board. For the full list of changes, try ATW.
