It seems Her Majesty’s Government has called upon yours truly to serve the nation (Britain, in case you were wondering).
Around a million other Brits have received this request, which some have described as a begging letter.
Amid fuel queues and bare supermarket shelves, the mailshot to a million heavy truck (HGV) driving licence holders can only be viewed as a sign of desperation.
My country needs me, apparently…
There is some logic in asking me if I would consider a return to HGV ...
