Lars Widelund

Lars Widelund (above) has been appointed senior business development manager at Scandinavian Logistics Partners (Scanlog) and will take up his new role on 19 September.

Mr Widelund has extensive experience in the logistics and transport sector, beginning his career at Nordisk Transport, responsible for traffic sales.

His next role was taking responsibility for freight procurement at Swedish industrial manufacturer Alimak, which was followed by a stint as site manager for DFDS Transport in Skellefteå.

For the past 15 he has served years as port director at the Port of Skellefteå.

“I am very happy and proud that Lars wants to team up with us and take responsibility for developing Scanlog’s business in Norrland,” said Scanlog’s chairman and founder Mathias Wideroth.

“Lars not only adds competence and experience from the logistics industry in its broadest sense, with his deep knowledge of the specific conditions in the logistics markets in the north and his trustworthy personality, I am also convinced that Lars will create great value for both our existing and our new customers in Northern Sweden,” he added.
