Crane Worldwide Logistics has opened a new facility close to Brussels International Airport and appointed Fons de Haan as managing director.
Mr de Haan, whose remit will be leading the company’s entire Belgium operation, joins from JAS Worldwide, where he has spent the last eight years as sales manager.
In a career spanning three decades, he was business development manager for Ceva between 2000 and 2011, having joined from Road Air where he spent a little under two years as sales manager.
He also spent six years in the air freight department of Aviapartner, and Crane’s regional VP for the EMEA region, Marco Nazzari, believes Mr de Haan’s experience will be key to growing the company.
“Belgium is an incredibly important market for us given its location to other leading countries in Europe,” said Mr Nazzari. “Given Fons de Haan’s significant experience in the industry, we are poised to deliver success for our clients from the start and continue to expand upon our presence in the region.”
