Flexport is taking aircraft provider Western Global Airlines (WGA) to court, alleging service failures.
The forwarder signed up with WGA to provide a 747-400 freighter in January 2018, for rotations between Hong Kong and Los Angeles from April 2018 through to March 31 2021.
Flexport claims in a court filing that, “from the outset … the 747-400 suffered from numerous mechanical and other service failures … [as a] result of the failure by WGA to properly maintain and/or operate the aircraft”.

July 25, 2019 at 4:01 pmSo the moral of this story is that, no matter how many blockchains and whizbang internet applications you have, if you outsource the actual transportation to physical service providers, then your weakest link is still the sub contractor that YOU have selected.
