SF Airlines has applied to the US Department of Transportation to launch a scheduled freighter service between its Hangzhou hub and New York, according to Air Cargo News. Apparently the rapidly-expanding Chinese express carrier hopes to launch a thrice-weekly service in September. Should it get the go-ahead, it will make use of the two 747-400Fs it purchased through Alibaba’s online auction site, Taobao, in 2017.
