Emirates and Cargolux have deepened their partnership and announced they will start codesharing. The pair have been working together on operational issues since an agreement earlier this year. Emirates, which has chartered aircraft from Cargolux, started weekly freighter services to Luxembourg, while Cargolux is now handled in Dubai World Central by Emirates. The codeshare arrangement will include Emirates’ belly freight. Arabian Business points out that the news comes as Emirates is crowned the world’s third-largest cargo carrier, after UPS and FedEx.
