It’s not been a great time for express supplier West Atlantic. A tragic crash in January had a “tremendous impact” on the company, said the CEO, and the airline has struggled to get back to ‘normal’. Normal didn’t include its financial results, unfortunately, which saw it go into the red in 2015: a loss of $6m compared with a profit of $1.3m a year earlier. It has suffered problems, including aircraft delivery delays and unplanned maintenance, which have “left certain of our customers less than satisfied” last year. But the airline hoped this was now behind it.
