The latest is to propose closing the Channel Tunnel overnight – a measure not welcomed by the FTA. Pointing out that moving freight at night makes it clearer for passengers during the day, the FTA told Lloyds Loading List that while cross-channel problems are diminishing, the government needs to consult those still affected.
