First container fire of the year erupts on Cosco boxship

According to the news site, a fire broke out in a container on the 10,000 teu Cosco Pacific, going from Malaysia’s Port Klang to India’s Jawaharlal Nehru,. The vessel subsequently rerouted to the Sri Lankan transhipment hub of Colombo. According to AIS data from vesselsvalue.com, it remains moored there.
