West African ship agency OMA Group has appointed veteran ship agent Neale Proctor as a consultant.
Mr Proctor has previously worked with OMA while with global ship agency and logistics company GAC, when he was its Ghana manager, setting up a series of partner agreements for GAC along the West African coast.
Gary Miller, OMA managing director, said: “We are delighted that Neale has agreed to join us, his wealth of experience and knowledge will be invaluable to us as we review and develop OMA’s strategic plans.”
Mr Proctor’s most recent role was with GAC in Turkmenistan, where he managed its marine services operation in the Caspian Sea and looked after a fleet of 19 offshore support vessels.
He began his shipping career as a seafarer on tankers and anchor handling tugs, and spent a decade art sea returning to shore-based positions. He has since had roles in Dubai, Indonesia and West Africa.
