Another day, another broken ship. This time it’s MSC Tina, a 19,000+ teu vessel, which suffered an “allision”, according to Splash24/7 – it means the “striking of a vessel against a fixed object”. The ship did not come out of a meeting with the pier at Ambarli port well and now has a sizeable slice out of its port side, just above the waterline. It looks set to be out of action for sometime, judging by the images.
