Chinese ports and shipyards are slowing operations as the coronavirus takes its toll, reports Splash 24/7. As the new year holiday continued, a lack of stevedores and truck drivers impacted vessels, and storage yards are facing congestion. Meanwhile, shipyards busy with new orders and scrubber installations, are also struggling with labour shortages. China is reportedly considering stopping cargo operations at several ports, but there has been no confirmation as yet, notes Splash. A useful read.
