Sterling Transportation has appointed industry veteran Jim Flannigan as its new general manager.
Mr Flannigan brings more than 25 years’ experience to the role. Having started at the bottom rung on the warehouse floor, he has worked for a variety of logistics operators, including Target, PMT and Aramex.
He joins Sterling from Radiant Global, which he joined in 2017 following four years as branch manager of OIA’s Los Angeles operations.
Chief executive Keith Davis said: “Jim started in this business when we used typewriters to cut airbills and everyone carried a pager. He is going to help with both long-term strategy and day-to-day operations. He is a welcome addition to the team and will be a key player in our growth.”
