Yesterday non-profit organisation InfluenceMap released its report into the corporate influence on environmental regulations – or lack of – adopted by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), and claimed that business interests were more pervasive in the maritime sector than any other. They were, it claimed, effectively keeping shipping outside global efforts to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
