Finance for forwarders? The UK is, of course, desperate to boost exports as it heads into political and economic isolation. So the UK’s export credit agency, UK Export Finance, has announced that, together with the Department for International Trade, it will partner with five main banks to offer financial support to exporters more quickly and efficiently than before.
It adds that it will extend that support to supply chain companies – essentially allowing smaller firms which support UK exporters access to government-backed funding. Trade finance support will also be available. It could be the start of a beautiful friendship between trade and government…
