November 24, 2015 at 1:50 amThe Cat Lai port, the busiest port in Vietnam in term of traffic and value as well, is operated by the Army, it is one of the cash cow of the Army in this country where the Army is one of the pillar of the power and leadership. The Vietnam Marine Administration is under the supervision of a ministry which is neither the ministry of Defence nor the Ministry of Public Security, the only ministries whose ministers is member of the Politburo, the group of 16 most powerful people in Vietnam.
The final word is that I don’t believe in any plan of closing down the Cat Lai within the next decade.
