Lufthansa is facing another strike, which begins today, following an unlucky run of them. This morning it announced it was to cancel 23 of 31 cargo flights out of Frankfurt, along with some 3,800 passenger flights, over the next three days. The airline, which is running its security conference today, said the strike would cause “significant damage”, with logistics customers turning to other airlines. Lufthansa Cargo said flight information will be given here. It is the third strike for the airline in two months – but last week’s ground staff strike, called by the Verdi union, was not targeted at Lufthansa. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol also saw Aviapartner Cargo strike earlier this month.
