German rail freight operator Eurogate Intermodal has appointed Christopher Beplat (pictured above) as its new joint managing director.
He succeeds Thomas Meyer, who will retire at the end of September, when he will gradually hand over the areas of operations to Mr Beplat, who will run the company jointly with Lars Hedderich.
He has many years of leadership experience in the industry and for the past five years was managing director for Rhenus Inland Navigation Europe, which also included roles at NWL Norddeutsche Wasserweg Logistik and Trimodal Logistik.
“With Christopher Beplat, we bring a very experienced expert with extensive knowledge of the transport business on board. We are convinced that the new composition of the management continues to be excellent in order to successfully guide EGIM into the future],” said Mr Meyer.
Mr Hedderich added: “With Christopher Beplat we were able to gain an outstanding logistics specialist. His knowledge of the industry and many years of experience in combined transport form an important basis for the management of our business and the further expansion of our offer, especially in these challenging times.”
