Veteran freight forwarder and logistics executive Hessel Verhage (pictured above) has been appointed chief executive of DB Schenker’s Americas region.
Forty-seven-year-old Mr Verhage, who is also a columnist for The Loadstar Premium, will take up his new post on 1 August and report to DB Schenker chief executive Jochen Thewes. He will be responsible for 24 countries in North, Central and South America.
