Although a stronger dollar has encouraged Brazilian fruit exports, drought in the country’s northeast has dealt a significant blow to mango and grape production. Nationally, Brazil expects growth for its annual fruit exports and Cloves Ribeiro, Director at Ibraf Market Intelligence, maintains that “2012-13 rates have been favorable for businesses with more volume on the international market.”
