US 3PL Pilot Freight Services (PFS) has appointed Mark Baker (pictured above) to the newly created position of chief technology officer.
Mr Baker brings 23 years’ experience to the role, the last 15 of which have been spent in the transport and logistics sector.
He joins from JAS Worldwide, where he served as chief information officer and took on the responsibility for integrating a global IT system.
Chief executive of PFS Gordon Branov says as the company grows, unique trends are emerging which the company needs to keep abreast of.
“These requires a singular focus on our technology products to assure that we are providing the most innovative and effective solutions for our clients. I am confident in Mark’s ability to plan and strengthen infrastructure in order to maintain our industry-leading position, and ultimately deliver exceptional customer experience.”
