Hong Kong’s Association of Freight Forwarding and Logistics (Haffa) has come out in strong opposition to the wave of protests that hit HKIA in recent weeks. Air Cargo News reports that the disruption could have “far reaching” consequences for the territory. Haffa said: “It will undermine Hong Kong’s reputation as an international transportation hub and the world’s busiest cargo airport. It will have a far-reaching impact on Hong Kong and have a serious, adverse effect on the economy as a whole.” Bellyhold operations have been significantly disrupted over the last three days as numerous flights are cancelled.
