An interesting geopolitical story in CargoForwarder. Volga-Dnepr Group has apparently been avoiding Belarusian airspace, as per the EU sanctions on the country. That hasn’t gone down well with some politicians in Russia, who say that Volga-Dnepr and AirBridgeCargo should not be obeying EU rules. Questions have been asked in the State Duma: “Since when does Russia submit to the restrictions of third countries? And, moreover, against its closest ally?” However, it may be a symbolic complaint.
