A plethora of maritime associations are calling for an in-depth review of the industry’s regulatory framework. A statement put out today by Clecat said there had been no review in the last decade and that market developments over the last five years more than justified one. In particular, the group which, among others, included GSF is focused on amending the EU Consortia Block Exemption Regulation (BER). Director of BIFA Robert Keen earlier tweeted that opposition to shipping lines’ BER was “lining up”.
