The Container Owners Association (COA) has appointed Frank Nachbar to its board, joining six other directors in representing some of the world’s largest container lines.
Mr Nachbar, who will continue to serve as director of container engineering at Hapag-Lloyd, brings 40 years’ experience in the shipping world to the position.
Starting out as an ocean-going engineer in 1978, he moved landside in 1994 to take on a role in Hapag-Lloyd’s engineering department – 23 years later and he’s still there.
