Ceva Logistics has a new king
European FVL power
Michael Schaecher’s replacement at CEVA, Helmut Kaspers, began his new role today, confirmed the logistics company.
CEVA was quick to find Mr Kaspers after the sudden departure of Mr Schaecher, who left the company yesterday.
Mr Kaspers has a strong forwarding background. He has been working as a consultant since leaving Damco, where he was, briefly, chief commercial officer. But he has also had senior roles at Logwin, Kuehne + Nagel, and DB Schenker. He takes on the role of chief operating officer air and sea.
According to DVZ, there are other management changes afoot at CEVA. Matthias Heimbach, it reported, SVP freight management for Europe at CEVA, moves in June to manage Kuehne + Nagel’s German air freight business. And this month, Marc Freter, who had been freight manager Germany for CEVA for only 11 months, will move to Dachser to become its German air freight manager. He replaces Florian Stefani, who has moved to Mondial.
