It’s dog eat dog in US freighter operations. Atlas Air has relieved ATSG’s ABX subsidiary of its four-767 CMI agreement with DHL. ATSG still operates 21 aircraft for DHL, according to this Cargo Facts article, but Southern Air and Atlas are also competing heavily for the integrator’s business, which now sees it needing almost 50 freighters to support its US international express operations.
