The ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach could see some congestion over the next two days with truckers on a 48-hr stoppage. The truckers are protesting against companies which illegally classify them as contractors, rather than staff, which results in lower wages. Just 10% of US truckers are employed directly, and they are beginning to see red. The strike is organised by Justice for Port Truck Drivers, and will also affect Savannah, Georgia.
