Covid restrictions on cross-border trucking between Hong Kong and mainland China were lifted today.
Forwarders are expecting shorter transit times and reduced costs as truck drivers from Hong Kong can now now enter Guangdong for direct shipments.
Previously they had to use designated checkpoints to pick up and drop off containers, which increased costs and added up to 20 hours to transit times.
