Amazon operating income nearly $2bn in Q1 — double what Wall Street expected

So Amazon’s first quarter results are out – and it did well. A first-quarter revenue of $51bn is not bad, leading to a $1.9bn operating income. We’ll go through the results to check on its supply chain and logistics businesses, but here is a good initial overview from Business Insider.
