Airlines are struggling to serve Nepal as the fuel shortage crisis continues. China Southern has announced it will not now operate into Kathmandu until December, citing lack of fuel. Since the end of September, foreign carriers have been unable to refuel at the airport, causing many flights to be cancelled. Some fuel is now coming into the country, but not enough for its population, which is sill recovering from April’s tragic earthquake.
