UPS Freight has avoided a potentially damaging strike after workers approved a new contract. But this Atlanta Journal-Constitution article notes that the turmoil may still have an impact. Last week UPS stopped picking up shipments in order to empty its network in case there was a strike. While it resumed normal operations on Sunday, the disruption could be felt for tome time.
