Changi Airport in Singapore is looking to the perishables and pharmaceuticals sectors to boost volumes. In the first quarter, volumes fell 2.2%, but it is hoping to attract more cargo through its Coolport facility, and Dnata’s new perishables centre which will open later this year. It has already seen a rise in seafood transhipment, from Indonesia to Japan.
