Last week the great and good of the UK freight forwarding industry came to together to celebrate the best of the business at the British International Freight Association’s (BIFA) annual Freight Service Awards bash in central London.
The event demonstrated again that nothing quite blows the post-Christmas/new year blues away like several hundred forwarders skipping work for the afternoon and seriously getting “in their cups”.
The event was hosted by Caribbean spicy sauce impresario and part-time Reggae crooner Levi Roots, who regaled the audience with tales of his 10-year business partnership with Dragon’s Den investor Peter Jones.
