Air cargo roundtable: 'carriers should drive risk and cost from supply chain'

Logistics Management has published a short roundtable on air cargo – which includes comments from the king of US air forwarders, Brandon Fried. Noting the boost from the west coast port congestion, the speakers point out that this modal shift is not here to stay. And they also call for stronger partnerships. “The bottom line is that carriers still work to control costs and not chase opportunity.” They should “help shippers drive risk and spend out of the supply chain”, contends Apex CEO Thomas Cook.
