Airports Council International is warning that a no-deal Brexit would halt growth in the aviation sector, following news that the European Commission has tabled legislation blocking UK carriers from expanding their EU footprint in the event of no deal. International Airport Review says the regulation also blocks UK carriers from increasing frequencies on existing routes. According to ACI some 140,000 new flights would be lost across the EU and UK as a result, with the UK, obviously, disproportionately impacted.
