Lloyds Loading List has reported that DB Schenker’s freight forwarding arm saw volume growth, but revenue falls in 2016. Air freight tonnages were up 4.5%, while sea freight was up 3.3% ? but revenues dropped 7.5% to €6.26bn. Revenue from overland services was flat. Contract logistics recorded the best performance, with revenues up 5.6%. The figures are only available within parent company Deutsche Bahn’s results.
