First Silk Road train arrives in Tehran from China

The Chinese certainly aren’t mucking about when it comes to their dream of recreating the Silk Road, and Iranian money seems set to flood into China now that the EU, the US and the UN sanctions against the country have been removed. The train completed its 9,500km journey from Zheijiang province to Tehran in 14 days, compared with the 44 days it would take by sea, proving that Chinese rail authorities are not just limiting themselves to China-Europe services.
