Freight forwarder ECU Worldwide has appointed Clas Thorell as its global head for LCL product & yield management.
Based in Hong Kong, he will focus on the digitalisation of the business “to create a stronger network of small and medium-sized businesses with a global reach”.
ECU said: “He is known as a strong operating and product management leader who builds teams around a clear strategy. Clas has over two decades’ experience in the ocean freight LCL business, leading growth turnarounds of several businesses.”
Mr Thorell said: “It is a transformative time for ocean freight, with the disruptions and rapidly changing dynamics within the sector.”
