CEVA Logistics executive director Leigh Pomlett is the new president of the Freight Transport Association, taking over from Ian Veitch, who has completed his three-year term.
Mr Pomlett joined CEVA in September 2009 and was appointed executive director in January 2015. He has previously held various senior positions with BRS, Exel and DHL Supply Chain.
He said: “I am both delighted and honoured to take over the presidency from Ian. This is an exciting and demanding time for our industry and for the FTA and its members.”
FTA chief executive David Wells added: “Ian made a significant contribution to FTA for which I am deeply indebted to him. Leigh Pomlett has all the necessary skills to ensure FTA continues its excellent work on behalf of its members.
