Flexport has appointed Crane Worldwide’s Stefan Böhler as its general manager, Germany.
Mr Böhler joins on 1 August from Crane, where he was VP operations EMEA for two years. He has a strong freight forwarding pedigree – prior to Crane, he has also spent long stints at DB Schenker, Kuehne + Nagel and Ceva Logistics.
Flexport said the appointment was its next step towards realising its growth targets in Germany: to double sales and expand its service offering.
“Germany is an important market for Flexport to realise our vision of easy, and transparent global trade for everyone,” said Jan van Casteren, VP Europe.
“We already move goods worth over $10bn between 112 countries every year. The appointment of Stefan Böhler is therefore a logical next step for us to position ourselves optimally in this central region and to offer our customers, their suppliers and partners the best possible service.”
