The Apple Watch goes on sale on Friday – and the forecasts expect the luxury high-tech company to sell 19m this year. Which could of course lead to some challenging supply chain issues. For one thing, the watches incorporate gold. If Apple hits its sales targets, it will need up to 30% of the world’s annual production, which is sure to highlight conflict minerals.
