CH-A: Etihad eyes cautious fleet growth as IPO plans progress
Ch-aviation reports: Etihad Airways (EY, Abu Dhabi International) aims to incrementally increase its fleet to around 150 aircraft ...
Bad news for Etihad: it is being sued for damages of up to €2bn by airberlin’s administrators. They claim Etihad had agreed to “provide airberlin with the necessary support for the next 18 months in order to enable its subsidiary to meet its financial obligations”.
However, it added, Etihad withdrew its support in August 2017, resulting in airberlin’s bankruptcy. Etihad has vowed to fight the claim, which it says is without merit, “vigorously”, reports ATW.
