Delta Cargo will get a boost following the restructuring of its team as Tony Charaf retires, according to Ray Curtis, senior vp cargo. In an interview with Flying Typers, he aims to dismiss suggestions that Delta’s cargo product would be weakened by changes that will see cargo sales brought under passenger sales and cargo operations become part of the airports team. Arguing that the hierarchy has now been cut back, Mr Curtis insists that cargo now gets a more important role at the airline.
It’ll certainly be an interesting strategy to watch.
