The port of Hamburg is celebrating an 8% increase in volumes, driven by Asian traffic which grew 9%. After China, Russia is Hamburg’s biggest trading partner, but the port said the Ukraine crisis didn’t appear to have affected business. Russian trade grew 4% while transhipment traffic – much of which is destined for the Baltic – rose 6.5%.
