Poor Martinair is not in the news for the right reasons at the moment. Last week one of its aircraft was found to be carrying some 80 kg of cocaine (what freight rate does that fly at, one wonders?). It was discovered on a 747F at Ezeiza Airport in Buenos Aires. Seven people have been arrested, reports FreightWaves, three of whom are Dutch crew members. The aircraft had arrived from Sao Paulo and was due to fly onto Ecuador and Miami before returning to Amsterdam.
