Antje Huber (pictured above) has taken over as chief executive of Deutsche Post-DHL’s digital freight platform, Saloodo!.
Dr Huber has succeeded Thomas Grunau, who managed Saloodo! since 2018 in combination with his other role as senior vice president of global business strategy & digitalisation at DHL Global Forwarding. He will continue in this role.
“I’m delighted that we’ve been able to win Antje Huber as CEO for Saloodo! and secure her proven expertise in international expansion strategies and digital technology projects,” said Uwe Brinks, chief executive of DHL Freight.
“Through her work on the management board she is already up to speed on the company and its processes. This will ensure a smooth transition as she focuses efforts to establish Saloodo!’s presence around the world,” he added.
Dr Huber has been a member of the Saloodo! board since the beginning of 2019 and played a key role in the successful establishment of the platform in Europe and its global rollout at the end of last year.
She began her career at Deutsche Post DHL Group in 2003 and has held several positions in corporate development, DHL Parcel, and Innovation and Operations Post & Parcel Germany. In 2017 she joined DHL Freight as senior vice president strategy, marketing & chief of staff and will continue in this role.
