Thieves steal €1.3bn in goods from trucks in Germany every year

The numbers are pretty staggering, according to this LinkedIn post by Thorsten Neumann, director APS channel security & business resilience at Microsoft and European director of the Transport Assets Protection Association. Around 26,000 trucks in Germany are attacked every year, equating to one every 20 minutes. Alongside the loss of goods, it causes just under a further €1bn in damage.
